The Relay For Life is the American Cancer Society's largest annual fund raiser. The Riviera Beach Relay is an event that Gamma Zeta Sigma Chapter has participated in since it's inception. Until the 2003 Relay we were the only Black Greek Letter organization involved. Thankfully that is no longer the case as this event deserves the attention of us all.
In Riviera Beach, the only predominately Black city in South Florida, we felt that it was important that Phi Beta Sigma Fraternity, Inc. take a lead proactive role in supporting our community and making the Relay a successful event. Several Brothers, including a City Commissioner, area Policemen and a County Sherriff, participated and joined in to make the event a memorable one. Below you will see pictures from the events and activities.
The future of this event looks bright due to the continued efforts of a collection of dedicated staff and volunteers. Though it is among the newest, the Riviera Beach Relay will be one of the best in very short order. I urge everyone to find a Relay in your area and support it. With all of our efforts a cure can't be far away and we can help "Our Cause Speed On Its Way".
